Alicia Mangram, MD, FACS

Born in Kansas City, Kansas, Dr. Alicia Mangram graduated from Meharry Medical School in 1994. She then went on to complete her residency program in General Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center in 2001. Dr. Mangram has also completed a Fellowship in Surgical Critical Care from the University of Texas Health Science Center in 2002 and a Fellowship in Trauma from East Texas Medical Center in 2003.
Dr. Mangram has held numerous healthcare administrative and academic positions throughout her career. Currently, she is the Senior Medical Director for the Trauma Surgery program at Deer Valley Hospital and John C. Lincoln, Medical Director of Surgical Intensive Care Unit and Program Director of General Surgery Residency at HonorHealth John C. Lincoln Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
Dr. Mangram is also an Adjunct Clinical Preceptor at ATSU-KCOM University, a Faculty Professor of Surgery at Midwestern University and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery and Surgical Critical Care at A.T. Still University.
A member of numerous professional societies and committees both regional and nationals including American Association for the Surgery of Trauma (AAST), Committee on Trauma (COT), Western Trauma Association (WTA) and South Western Surgical congress (SWS), Dr. Mangram was also on the Committee Chair (Geriatric Trauma) State Trauma Advisory Board (STAB) in 2013 as well as the president of the Arizona Trauma Association from 2014 – 2016.
Over the years, Dr. Mangram has been working on creating a new multidisciplinary care approach for patients 60 years and older. She has over a 100 publications, peer reviews, presentations, book chapters, case reports as well as lab and bench research experience.
